I got this in an email yesterday from my friend Rita who lives in Beirut. This was Monday of this week...:

On Monday, 3 students encountered an 18 year old university student. She welcomed them into her home, she and her family were very hospitable. They asked the students why they were in Beirut and the students shared that they had come to bless the people of Beirut, to give them a gift and tell people about Jesus. The father spoke up and told the story about his 18 yr old daughter. When she was younger she injured her knee in some way and developed a severe infection. He said that the girl’s aunt had a dream that Jesus placed his hand on the girl’s knee and that she was no longer sick. Two days after this dream, the girl was taken to the doctor to treat her knee and he discovered that there was NO infection… as a matter of fact, her knee had no trace of ever having been injured. After the dad (Muslim man) told this story, proceeded to testify that Jesus does heal and has the power to do many more wonders…. Oh my word. They received what the students shared and took the Book. Please pray for this home, we are asking for more manifestations of God’s power in this family… That they will experience the power of our risen Savior.

Here's what happened in my email from today (from Rita again...)
Also yesterday, another 3 students went back to do a follow-up visit with a family that they had met on Monday. This is a massive family that lives in small apartment. Some of the men in this family are people of influence in the neighborhood and even in the government. The students shared with them, gave them their spill, were received warmly and asked to come back the next day (yesterday). When they returned yesterday there were no english speakers. So, they waited in the home for the members of the family that did speak English. In the meantime, a neighbor (who spoke English, he is a science teacher) happened to stop by this family’s apt. So, he sat down and started talking to the students and of course asked why they were in Beirut. The Lord blessed. They opened their mouths and fearlessly proclaimed the mystery of the Gospel. The science teacher was translated for this entire Muslim family and within minutes his eyes were filled with tears. He said that just listening to these students speak of Jesus filled him with peace and he recognized that it was Truth. The family sat in awe at the words the students spoke, the Spirit gave them understanding and they were deeply moved. A short time later, the English speakers of the family (who also work with the government) came in, in full armor (including guns), and sat down to hear the rest of what the students had to say. Oh my word. They thanked the students for coming to tell them this great message, they received the books, had lunch with them, and asked them to continue coming to tell them more about Jesus.

I know that's long but it's so fun to tell relate stuff like that =) There's more but I'll save the others for another day...
